I have an 04 Z and the fuel gauge works sometimes and doesn't other times. When the fuel gets to a 1/4 tank the gauge reads empty and when I fill it, it reads 7/8. I started having problems when taking turns too fast. I have been told that the floater inside the fuel tank can fill with fuel and give false readings, is there an easy way to fix this without dropping the tank? Does anyone have the same problem? .

 

If the floaters the issue, your gonna have to drop the tank OR you could take the guage cluster apart and pull the needle off and reset it to where it will say 1/4 when it's actually at 1/4
