i have seen a n/a z get over 300whp, it also had high compression pistons and a set of cams, but it made it lol. its possible just going to cost to build that motor.

There are a bunch of built NA z's over 300whp. A couple of HR's, but I haven't seen any stock cam rev-up or non-rev's get to 300whp (though it isn't stopping me from trying )

I really agree with you on this one. I wouldn't mind putting a nice sounding Cat-Back on as well as a spacer and a tune but other than that, focusing on a nice brake/suspension set up would probably be a smart choice.

I dunno, it might matter the difference in Dyno set ups IMO, but the thing with that is everyone will swear that their dyno is the most accurate because bla bla bla.

Example: I did my all my intake/exhaust bolt ons and had it dynoed at Obsession motorsports in Rockville, MD at like 289whp(on a superflow), which had me thinking I might be able to realistically hit 300whp. that was before my tune.
Then I took it to Dave at Funtioned tuned and dynoed before the reflash and it only hit 240ish whp. in the end he configured it in the 260 whp range.(not that Im saying anyone is full of ****)

This is why dynos are iffy to me because they have too many different variables that can make them inconsistant....IMO.
Its all about how it feels after the upgrade, if it was worth it?, finding the right path to make consistant power that makes you happy.

Even though I have a DE, I try to make it faster not to race, but because this car is ****ing fun to drive!!!!

Superflow dyno's read ludicrously high (hence the user A.H making 318whp with a bolt-on, reflash HR (auto).

Dave's dyno crushes dreams and shrivels nut sacks.......I only dyno low-mid 260's there (without an corrections).

+1 on using the same dyno. I always get tuned on Dave's load bearing dynodynamics and then when I get time I use the same dynojet (MSP) for comparative sakes.

This is true, but I still think why dyno then if one is not gonna be consistant to another, even after people give their logic on "why THEIRS is the right one".

unless your FI, ....all the rest seems like nickel and dime $hit for bolt on's. If it feels stronger then thats what matters.

But I will agree that "A" dyno is a necessary tool for reflashing and ecu work because it gives you a measurable base for adjusting the tune.

thats just my opinion though.

I have picked up a little over 40whp with bolt-ons and a tune. I have spent a total of what it would cost just to install a TT kit. I am happy with my nickel and dimes.

The power mods can be proven on a dyno. I don't suppose everyone that slaps on #piston big brakes and #adjustable coilovers, actually take quantitative measures to see if their cars actually got faster either. It's a pretty generalized statement to make when theres people wasting their money on brake and suspension bolt ons as well.

i hit 278 on the mustang dyno with my current mods....and soon ill be doing headers and pullys and re-dynoing

Ok. When did japtrix get a mustang dyno? I thought they used a dynopack.

Japtrix has always had a mustang dyno, they just bought a brand new one a month ago.

I blew my motor at Homestead and chose to rebuild it naturally aspirated. I spent more than I would of spent on a built twin turbo setup but I wanted to keep the NA engine for road racing. I am going to be lucky to squeeze out 330-340whp out of this new setup, but could of had over 500whp for what I spent. Its all about what you set your goals first and letting the mods follow.

Im not sure what headers yet....and no i have never run the car at the track its on my to do list ahah...but you broke 280 what addition mods do you have that i dont.lol...im trying to get hopefully 5-8 more HP to the wheels...doesnt sound like alot but it would make me happy hahaha
