need help on clutch?

Question need help on clutch?

hi, i recently purchased a stage 2 clutch for my 03 Z, i didnt buy the flywheel, im hoping i can still use the stock one, good idea or bad idea. could really use all of your opinions. thanks

if u have da money u might as well do the fly wheel also sine it will be right there open an easily changed.u will really notice the difference.

yea im a little short on cash, thats why i didnt buy it, would it be a problem to keep the stock flywheel with the new clutch?

Welcome. Some manufactures want you to use their clutch-flywheel combination. They are engineered to fit and work together. The OEM dual-mass flywheel (left above) is NOT a design mismatch. Dual-mass is compatible with various clutches. The problem may be:

a. Clutch plate friction surface to flywheel. Does the friction surface match up with the flywheel?

b. Does your clutch plate have springs in the center? Where do these springs match up with the flywheel?
