I have ACT clutch kit (6 pad sprung disc) ready to be installed this weekend. My car is 05 base non-revup w/about 52k miles on it. Only mods are popcharger & a plenum spacer. I was told that it is recommended that I use aftermarket flywheel but stock flywheel is doable by turning it. So is it possible to do it? Anyone have any experience like this or heard if it can be done?
Yeah yeah, you might be thinking "you should just get it while you're down there" but I'm a little short on money right now.

why did you go with such a harsh kit? its rated for more than double the power your putting out. You can install it with out the lightened flywheel with no problem most do it because they think they might as well cus tranny is already out.. very good for quicker revs but there is alot of annoying chatter that comes from the lighter flywheels.. get ready for harsh engagement from the kit you bought

I thought you could resurface a stock flywheel? Its just that it is difficult due to the dual properties... but a good machinist with the right tools can resurface?
