Default Rough idle, really rough acceleration and dead

I seen a post in the archive while trying to find a solution to my problem.
I have a 2004 350Z with 40,000 miles,
http://picasaweb.google.com/rodnhower/350Z#
It was running perfect, then in a matter of 1 mile it started with a backfire, then I seemed to loose cylinder after cylinder.
The Nissan dealer says there was a short to ground in the wire harness which
proceeded to take out ALL of the ignition coils.
Just wandered if anybody heard of similar problems due to poor wire harness routing.
Thanks!
Rod

Default

Are you turbocharged or anyway modified, including sound systems.. If you have a turbokit, its easy to short circuit the system cuz of melted power wires.

Thanks for the reply.
It is not turbocharged, but does have the NISMO intake tube (not sure what it does other than improve air intake?).
Thanks,
Rod

Default Rough idle, really rough acceleration and dead and airbag

My 350Z Nismo has the headers and dual stainless steal exhaust. Whomever installed these did a poor job routing the ground wire, resulting in a short.
I also have the Nismo black and gray seats. The airbag light was on and they said the drivers side airbag module needed replaced....hosed again.
Oh well, it's a cool looking car and handles superb when it's running,

Thanks for your comments and feedback.
(at least I can work on my EV's since I design those controls,
