Hot Air in the cabin?
Has anyone noticed that when you select "outside air" and your temperature dial is on the coolest setting, even with the fan off, so that your trying to pull the outside cool air into the cabin, the air coming in is always hot........it was 40 degrees here last night, I had on the "outside air" setting, and the dial was at 60, by fan wasn't turned on, but a lot of hot air entered the cabin thru the vents........ideas?
thanks
thanks

Adam,
Yeah I figured out hte re-circ fix......I figured it was the engine heating up the air.......but this has never happened in any of my other cars........granted Camry's and a BMW 5 series.......so this is my first 2 seater.......maybe it's just because everything is so crammed in there....under the hood. Thanks though, at least I know everyone experiences this

Well the fact that it seems to switch between fresh and re-circ at any given startup of the engine makes it more obvious. The car wants the ac on all the time thus making the fresh the default. I dont use it much cause I like windows down and the A/C makes all sorts of noise. I hate electronics that try to guess the way we want things!
