So I, as well as a lot of people have been complaining of the wine at around 3k RPM with the 08s, so i brought it in to be looked at. I was also have shifting problems. Just got the call saying they are replacing the tranny under warranty!!! so that little whine is not normal for all you guys, take it in and have it looked at.

I have the same thing with my 2007. What kind of shifting problems did you have?

 

I had a major whine from idle to about 3k RPMs, so loud it was all i heard. Then early last week started having trouble going into 1st 2nd 3rd when cold. When i started my car and then let the clutch out in neutral all you heard was a whine but that is gone now. New transmission is in and boy what a difference, all i hear is the sound of the pretty engine and exhaust.

 

I got that whine since the day my CD009 tranny was installed.

 

well its funny cause thats the same noise I hear from my 2006 with 52k miles while cold... they are also replacing the tranny under warranty.
