I already asked about diff ratio gears such as 3.9, 4.083, 4.444, 4.636 but no go as far as I'm aware. Hey Jeff, do you know of any Nissan techs that I can shoot an email to to inquire about differential gearing and swaps from older R200 diffs?

I'll put my assistant Jenny on this this. She'll call NMC today and see what we can find out.

So you have to purchase the plate AND disc separately? Jeez, that's almost $600 for a standard heavy duty clutch. Why is the Nismo stuff so expensive? Is Nissan purposely trying to deflect people away from its products?

Jeff-
Can the clutch and plate be used with the OEM flywheel? How much do you charge for installation of these parts?
Thanks!

They are made to work with the stock, Nismo, Jun, JWT flywheels. You are more than welcome to give me a call and come over to drive my car. It has the Nismo flywheel and clutch assy for a few days. I'm getting itchy to put my Tilton 8lb flywheel back in, just don't have the time right now. Installation will be $40.00 with a warranty trans replacement.......... oh, and if your trans is fine then it will cost $300.00..

What symptoms do I need in order to receive a new tranny from Nissan? Is gear balk sufficient? Or does it need to grind all the time?

i really really need something like this for the track, because i dont know how much more power my stock diff will be able to hold.

but im not holding my breath....i know how over priced most nismo products are. did i say most? i meant all...heh however if it is the "prjected" under 900.00, then im all over it.

a quick question...

i guessing it shouldnt matter weather your have the at or mt 350z correct?

I'm not sure of the answer. I PM'ed raceboy to see if he could help with this. Nissan say's it will increase power to the rear wheels (and it does!!!)but I don't know how and if that translates to torque.

Jeff, how does the car drive with the NISMO clutch and pressure plate? Is it streetable or is it like a double carbon clutch?

The Nismo plate and disk are really nice. It feels smoother than stock and less pedal effort. It is 100% streetable with NO bad habits of any kind. I can also side step it and get some great wheelspins when showing off.. (of course only on a closed course, professional driver, never attempt this yourself.....)

You wont notice as much difference in a dyno pull in 5th gear. but below, 1, 2, 3, 4th, well, if you can get the wheels to stick in 1st, then you will probably see a difference in TQ / HP getting to the wheels..

The NISMO clutch disc and plate have a slightly heavier pedal feel than stock. Shift effort is raised also. This clutch has no springs and is not as smooth engaging as the stock clutch. I don't know how they could say that. However, it is easily modulated and very streetable. But the comparison to the stock clutch made above is inaccurate.
