Default Please read. Cars freaking out

The past week or so when I have been driving I change gears, lets say driving in 3rd and switching to 4th everything is smooth in the clutch, no grinding, nothing suspicious but once I'm in the next gear I give it gas and the rpms drop 500 and then speed up.. i guess you could say almost like FI's bogging. I hope its just a clutch issue but its weird because my clutch doesn't actually feel like its going out.

Now this is where I start freaking out. I was just getting off lunch and driving back to work I get on the tollway and I am in 5th as I step on it the car basically goes into neutral and instead of flooring off it bogs and then reved up until redline. Could this be a transmission issue or clutch issue. Anyone ever run into the same problem. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think the translation would be:

If it's a 6MT, you will need to replace the clutch. If it's an auto, you will need to replace the transmission. I think it's what he means.

Your clutch is worn out, can't grab, and is slipping. How many miles do you have on your car?

100k. I think this as well.. but there is also a part of me thats confused because it doesn't happen when the clutch is changing gears its once the clutch is fully engaged it does this. I'm going to get my transmission and clutch fluid replaced today.. If that doesn't work, its gotta be the clutch. Any recommendations for a good clutch?!

The trans fluid has nothing to do with that, and the clutch fluid if bad will only give you a nice grind while trying to change gears. Don't waste your money , get a clutch.

Alright man I shall take your word. Thanks for the advise. New clutch will be ordered next week.

Any suggestions from anyone on an aftermarket clutch they have had a great experience with?!

JWT all the way, but if your car is just a DD and not really for performance try the ACT streetlite with JWT disk and pressure plate.

Yeah man I was looking at getting the heavy duty clutch and oem rear main seal. But then again I feel like I need to just go for the clutch and flywheel combo. Plus lighter flywheel and better acceleration.
