Why would anyone buy this?

Lots of people would buy it actually - they ahve sold quite a few in Japan to my understanding. Is it expensive? Hell yeah - as is everything Veilside makes. But maybe it is the better mousetrap - I learned long ago not to mock it unless you have a reason too....this could very well be the best performing, best fitting header on the market, and in that vein, maybe it is worth it to some. Would I get it, even for my own car? Not a chance - not sure if headers are worth it to me yet

they do look very smooth... look at the way the pipes are cut.. they are cut at an angle and join together smootly unlike other headers that are put together from the end of the pipe to a joining joint thingy...

then again I wouldnt want to get blood on a Prada bag any way...
I could see paying this amount of money if they were equal length or long tube and gained 15-20 HP and so on. They don't even tell you what kind of gains they produce probably because it’s not very impressive...
Z's in japan are right hand drive, this part was made in Japan. For right hand drive cars. The steering column will interfere with this manifold design. Veilside isnt big on dyno's & HP mainly because it's the tuning that makes the difference in power. With veilside being a Tuning company this is the basic philosophy & cultural perspective on it:
If you have a header you should have an exhaust, ECU, exhaust and complimenting parts. How lame would it be to get a HP rating on only a header?
On the same point, their Supra Surgetank was never advertised with any HP ratings. SP Engineering did independent tests and got an additional 75-100hp out of it. If it's not going to make a difference, veilside will not make it.
