Default Engine build for sound over performance.

I am attempting to build an engine for sound, I like power but my main priority is getting an exotic sounding engine note. I almost bought a v10 BMW M5 engine, but when I asked around I was told it would require a ton of money and a lot of aggravation to make that engine work. The 350z engine with an exhaust sounds pretty good, but nowhere near the level of a Lamborghini, Ferrari or new M5. I am looking for that high pitched raspy sound.

My question is what can I do to a 350Z engine to make it sound like this? Is such a feat even possible? If I make the 350z engine rev to 9000 rpm's will i accomplish my goal? I have heard other high revving engines that did not sound as good as this M5.

Thanks for the help there. To further add to my question, Whats so different from that M5 engine that makes it have such a sweet exhaust tone? What kind of modifications can I do to achieve a similar sound? A 4 cylinder tiny Motorcycle engine can make that sound so it's obviously not the M5's 10 cylinders solely responsible for making that tone.

I am guessing from the responses the 350Z engine does not have what it takes to play. Back to the drawing board, I guess I will tinker a little more with the M5 engine and a Motec and attempt to get it to work.

As I leave this forum I would just like to say, if you lack the knowledge to answer a question dont post at all. I asked a few simple questions, such as if I can get the 350z to get an exotic sounding note, and whats the cause of such a note. Obviously nobody thus far knew the answer, so they decided to post snide remarks instead! Maybe this forum is not a technical one, and maybe people on this forum don't like to think outside of the box, but at this point this forum has been practically useless to me. My project is a little off the wall crazy that has never been done before, and has sparked a lot of interest on other forums. I guess this forum is not interested in my madness!!

imo that is the worst sounding m5 ever. i live in germany and have herd better stock bmws than that m5 with an exhaust.

and as you leave this forum i say if you do not have the knowledge to make a sensible post.. dont post at all.

i really doubt that your post here has sparked alot of intrest in other 350z forums. being as most of those forums are populated by people off here.
i guess this forum is not interested in your stupidity.
