Well guys i guess i'm getting worried because my car is hitting 80,000miles on the stock clutch and although it's not slipping or anything...how much longer do you think it'll last?

There's no way to tell buddy. Just keep driving until it slips, then it's done....game over.

My stock clutch is at 26k and it constantly gets stuck at the disengagement point when I am driving for more than 45mins or sitting in heavy traffic. Go figure.

I'm really easy on clutches but drive my cars moderately aggressive. I'm at 115,000 on the stock clutch and just pulled the engine out. The clutch was in ok shape and probably would have gone another 10,000 - 20,000 miles. As reference, my last acura clutch went 140,000 before failing.

So if you are nice to your clutch it will be nice to you. Oh yeah...I don't abuse my clutches with alot of hard starts off the line or long slips.

You will get to 82,475.8 miles then your clutch will explode into many, many small pieces. This will happen on a Sunday afternoon.

I am just now replacing my clutch...she has 142k miles on her. I'm sure it would last a little longer but the pivot point for the clutch fork broke off in the bellhousing. In light of that ive decided to replace the flywheel and the clutch while the tranny is out.

Just a side note...This car has been beat to hell and back. Drift,Auto-x,Road Course, and Drag.

It depends. My transmission crapped out at 30K miles and Nissan replaced that and the clutch at the same time. Not sure if the clutch needed it or not but they replaced it and i didnt question it.

that's funny that nissan replaced it for because i bought mine brand new from the dealer in 03 2,000 miles later pedal stuck to floor(bad news) clutch needed replace is what the dealer said so i fought with the dealer and nissan usa(F THEM WASTE OF TIME) and got no where in a nut shell was told that nissan will not cover the clutch and im on my own. Had dealership replace(Hoak Motors/they r a joke) 6 months after 2nd and 3rd synchros went out took back to dealership and was told i had to buy another clutch WTF $1600 for the first one wait $1600 for the 2nd time...Here we are now with less than 1000 miles my 2nd and 3rd synchros are out again...Would someone please point me in the right direction this is my first nissan and most likely the last $35000 they get from me...........The funny part of my situation is that suddenly the dealer has no record of repair....If anyone lives near me or know this dealership DO NOT GO THERE>

What did they say was the cause of the damage and why they felt this was not covered?
