Pic request: Stub shaft snap ring
So I went to the dealer to have them look into an ABS light I was getting, only to have them find my passenger side stub shaft had slid out of the Pumpkin by an inch or inch and a half. This caused the ABS ring to move from under the sensor. Unfortunately because I have a Quaife the dealer is not going to warranty the repair.
The tech was trying to explain that it was probably the retention snap ring because while you could "pop" it in and out it was very loose compared to the other side. I ordered two of the snap rings, but I have no idea how they work or what they look like because I have never taken this particular rear end apart and my service manual does not have the best drawings.
So does anyone have any pictures of this part and how it interacts with the diff center section and the casing? I was going to just take it apart to check it out, but I hate to dump the diff fluid if all I have to do is pull out the stub shaft, put on the new clip and press it back in.
