Default 2003 swap to 2006 350z heads

My 2003 z swallowed an intake valve. I have the opportunity to purchase a 2006 long block. I had someone tell me this would not work due to a change in the cylinder heads or the electronic controls. Can anyone help me understand this issue and, what would be required to use 2006 heads on my 2003 car.
Many thanks,

jmdart

if it is a long block why dont you just replace the whole long block espcially the likelyhood if any of that valve got into the cyclinder and bounced around.... then aqain that might require ecu and other parts.
