hey iv done some research and iv see similar problems but not exactly like mine.

at start up with the motor warm or cold i get a rough idle for a few seconds and then it gos away plus the car kinda miss fires some time not all the time this problem happened from one second to the other. im pumping 93 oct, i put the heet bottle thinking it was water in the tank, i put the lucas injector cleaner. i don't know what else to do i have no warranty so no dealer suggestions. plus while driving normal no problem . while in hard driving the motor stalls out like if the car had no power or as if my tranny was slipping and also get some back fire. i just changed the spark plugs bout 2 to 3 weeks ago put in some ngk v power...

please help

i did have a cel because of the cat being gutted, but when this problem started cel went away...

 

all i have done to the car is intake, gutted cat, and the exhaust from the y back with greddy tip. those mods were done bout a year and a half ago and the nos is there but never used it yet. latest thing i did was the spark plugs ..

Try cleaning the MAF, then the TB, then do a TB reset.

 

just did that just not and did the computer reset with the gas pedal n nothing

 

also changed to pcv n nothing i do hear a air leak somewhere around the the pcv i was thinking bout jus going ahead n putting a plenum spacer and new gaskets but did wanna waist the money for no reason

I don't see how the spacer could help your problem. Doesn't sound like an air leak. Do a poor mans air leak test and spray some soapy water around seals if ya think thats where the problem comes from.

the told me it cold be a plug cracked at the insulator or something like that. dose that sound like the problem.

 

i said the spacer cause of the intake gasket might be messed up or something im new to problems on the g

 

im going tomorrow to auto zone to to run a scan on the car, but i dont have a cel .so i don't know how that's gonna turn out ..
i did have it before cus of the cats but when this problem started the cel turned off.

 

just checked all the plugs gap all are fine.. please help guys thanks ..

 

If the cel light was on then went out when it is supposed to be on due the cat being gutted maybe the ECU is bad.

 

dose the coupe comp fit on the sedan i got a buddy with a coupe but i dont know no one with another sedan just to swap it n see

 

my idle is at the second line after the zero first small line which im guessing is 600 rpm. that's on neutral and drive both the same.

i haven't tested all the vacuums but i think that its more of an electrical problem, because in the mornings and/or when its sitting for more than an hour it misfires or something.I'm not sure if its misfiring or what it is but it sounds like a subaru...i ran some sunoco 110 leaded fuel.that they had told me it was good to clean the injectors n stuff but it didn't do n e thing but give me that beautiful smell... lol .. i think I'm just gonna go ahead and go stock plugs again.i just didn't want to have wasted that money for nothing on the first ones n then waist them all over again for nothing on the stock ones. what u guys think i should do??
