Southbend DxD Clutch New Product Release Midweight Billet Steel Flywheel
So you hate the annoying chatter associated with your Aluminum LW flywheel?
Or you want to keep the driveability of your stock unit but it's worn out and a new replacement OEM flywheel is over $1000.00? OUCH!
Southbend DXD clutches has just finished up their Mid-weight solid 4140 billet steel flywheel for the DE engines (03-06)
We have been testing this in a 05 350Z for over 2 years and have found that the trans chatter associated with the LW aluminum versions is non existent with this flywheel.
Althou this flywheel weighs in at 24lbs it is still over 5lbs lighter than the OE Dual mass and by removing most of the weight off the outside of the flywheel you still get the performance benefit of a lighter flywheel without any of the annoying noise and poor driveability associated with other LW flywheels.
These are resurfaceable so there are no expensive inserts to buy when it comes time to replace your clutch, Much stronger than aluminum, Will take the abuse of racing much much better than aluminum and will simply drive much better on the street without the noise.
This is the first (Well 2nd piece) made so bare with me as it is not perfect looking, With all the measurments and working with this piece, Moving it around the shop ect. it has a few surface imperfections on it but wanted to give you an idea of what the final piece will look like.
