Default Traction Control

I have a base model which does not have traction control. Can it be added and would it cost me a fortune? It snowed and iced here a few weeks ago and I completely spun out in the middle of an intersection. Thank God no one was out there with me and I was the lead car. After all of the ice was gone, our roads were still covered in sand and salt which made me lose traction once or twice. Just thought I would check into this.

There are aftermarket electronics but adding OEM might be tough involving a lot of rewiring, new ECU, ABS modules, etc.

keep in mind even TCS will not prevent an inexperienced snow driver from spinning out. sure, it will help a little bit, but once you are sliding, you are sliding. you have to know how to prevent it and how to correct it. head out to a parking lot and practice up.

Snow's gone. It'll be difficult to get some snow practice in. But knowing this wild *** Arkansas weather, I wouldn't be surprised if we got some more.

Trade the Base of a Enthusiast. It will be less expensive than trying to make a Base into a Enthusiast.

traction control is not going to help you on ice - nothing helps on ice but studded tires

in snow it is somewhat helpful, provided you're not running summer tires
