Default clutch pedal adjustment

How do I adjust the clutch pedal to at what point where it disengages?
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Default Weird feeling after adjusting clutch

Sp I just did this adjustment and the clutch grabs a little lower than usual (which I'm happy about), but after the clutch catches and I let my foot off the pedal, the pedal will stay there for a second or two and then it will pop out the rest of the way (like half an inch or so) what could this be and is there any way to fix it? It's just annoying. Thanks in advance.

You need a RJM pedal. They are known sale right now

RJM pedal is what you need but it could also be that your clutch fluid is old and needs to be replaced asap and/or the master cylinder is going out.

One more question, does lowering the clutch pedal hurt the clutch in any way? Like will it make it wear out faster?

Contact RJM but IIRC its like "riding the clutch" if lowered too much when disengaged.

It definitely could - not likely if done correctly but possibility remains. I would tend to think that more harm comes to the clutch master - what I suspect could be causing the "slow clutch return" issue mentioned earlier in this thread.

When you adjust the stock pedal by turning the rod, you force the master cylinder's piston to "reach" further and it can come into contact with "unfamiliar territory" in the cylinder and can gall the piston. This can cause sticking, leakage and air entrapment, all leading to engage/disengage problems.

I have done the mod and experienced no such issues but I moved mine very conservatively. Maybe 3 turns or so IIRC.

The beauty of the aftermarket pedal is the multitude of adjustments that you can make to the PEDAL itself while leaving the master cylinder relatively untouched.

Sorry I know this is kind of an old thread but I'm currently having this issue in my 350z, the clutch pedal has like a 1" dead spot at the top and after I pass this spot my clutch pedal fully engages now. I'm hoping its not the master cylinder because I replaced that last year so what do I need to do or buy in order to fix this ? Thanks !

Did you compare the push rod length on the old MC when you installed the new one to make sure the length was the same?
