Default Possible Metal Found in Oil. What should I do?

I usually get my oil changed at Nissan and they dont let you watch them work, so I took it to a local shop that I'm cool with. While the oil was draining out, I noticed that there were what appeared to be metal bits coming out with the oil. I've searched on the forum and i found that this could be a major issue. I didnt save any of the old oil though, so a UOA is out of the picture. I also have the same problem at this guy,

Luckily for me, I have an extended warranty. So if theres something major, I'm covered there for a while. Now my question is, what should I do next? Here are my options,

1. Drive the car for another 3-4 thousand miles and check it then.
-Problem with this option is that if theres something wrong, I dont want to make it worse.

2. Take it to Infiniti and have them check it immediately.
-The problem with this one is I changed the oil already, so i dont know if theyre going to find anything.

BTW my car is a 2004 G35 Coupe 46,000 miles, no mods at all. Any input from experienced people are welcome. Thanks.

Problem is it gone now. You can try and take it back but I'll bet you they sweep it under the rug saying they can't reproduce the symptom. It is agreed, if you have metal in the oil at 46,000 you've got a problem.

Yea I know this isnt good at all. I've read that this is a bearing issue and it wont overall affect the life of the engine, but it will increase roughness at idle and cause knocking issues. I'm just trying to plan a course of action that would force their hand at fixing it. I was thinking that I should run the car for about a 1000 or so miles and do a UOA on it, take some pictures of the oil in the pan and bring it to them as evidence. Then they can proceed to run whatever test they want to.

Without an analysis of the oil we have nothing to work with.

You can order a kit from blackstone labs. its 22.50 for an analysis. DavidV, if i were to get an analysis from my next oil change, do you think i would be enough to prove to infiniti that i have a problem?
