Default 3rd syncro gone....

Hey fellas just registered for the site... i know im late on registering ive had my 03 350z for a little over 2 years now. unfortunately my syncro in 3rd went out and im in need of a new trans. apparently it going to cost about the same price to get a new rather then just fixing the 3rd gear problem. any ideas on where to find a trans???? Im in Northern VA by the way.
thanks fellas.

Ask for shop recommendations in the regional forum. You may be able to find a transmission from a wrecked Z. Also we have a regional junkyard pro - think his name is Gooye or Goofy.

If you want to get rid of your broken trans send me a PM. I'll take it off your hands.

Im sure he is out of warranty if he is a 2003.

Also to OP, welcome to ownership of an 2003 350z. You will get to enjoy all the great benefits of bugs/quirks and odd noises you will never find.

P.S. your 5th gear is next.
