yeah im fine with 2x80.
2 windows down...80mph!
i thought of taking the whole system out as well since i never use it anyway. but then if i ever decide to sell i know im going to be lazy to put it all back in. Since the ac free spins anyway i was just thinking perhaps the tightening of the belt may cause a strain of some sorts but if it does its prob so minimal nothing will be noticeable anyway. So i mid as well just leave it be. I was just asking to see if anyone has went out of the way to actually test this. If i get the chance i may test the theory just to see. thats a big IF!
If there is anyone that has b4 and after dyno'd it let me know. Thanks guys.

so the benefit of putting on a light pulley is saying that it is only freeing up distributed weight for a free spin. say less weight to rotate does not effect any aspect?
that is all i am saying that the engine will work slightly less harder is all.
with the ac on the z does have a drag feel that is very noticeable. Kind of the reason i disliked when it went on when i didn't notice.
but that is with any engine for that matter. all im asking is that completely removed the engine it self may feel a tad more responsive in the sense that your freeing up the crank from spinning both belts and all the spin is just going to the one. cause no matter what the crank is sill trying to spin the ac belt regardless. which is adding a lil pressure.
i might do a before and after just to see. maybe something will come out of it.

So basically, removing the belt would be trivial, as the gains would not justify the means. And as already mentioned by others, there aren't any gains to be had anyway.
