Anyone know if this helps with the mean static dischrge the car gives off?

only do it if you have really nothing better to do with the car and have couple dollar laying around. Or if you finished an audio install (amps and etc) and have power wires left over.

I have done this to many cars (mainly cuz i used to think it was a "cool" engine dress up mod) but I have never felt any difference.

This time i didnt bother with the Z and wont either...
