Default Grounding kits work? Looking for evidence.

I am having "dicussions" with a guy at work who says the grounding kits can't really work.

I seem to recall some posts here with actual evidence (dyno runs and/or OBDII reports). Could someone post a link or post any data they have? I tried searching but couldn't find real data.

What I am NOT looking for is one more "I fel the difference" story. The butt dyno is the worst piece of equipment in the shop. I am hoping to get some actual measurements with a real dyno, OBDII, an osciliscope, etc.

(My personal belief is that the kits make sense. Many circuits have grounding problems and excessive grounding rarely causes a problem. I am probably going to install a kit in the spring. )

Thanks in advance.

There was a post (might try to search for it) a long time ago where someone took an oscilliscope and took measurements. Several magazines (The one I've seen is Turbo Magazine) have dynoed the piece also and usually get 1-2HP.

If you decide to get a kit, I recommend http://www.z-xtreme.com. He sells his kits for a very fair price and has a wide variety of colors to choose from.

Hope that helps.

someone also used an OBD-2 and measure max and min RPMs at idle, the range was half as much with the grounding kit, like 70rpm variation vs 140.

That is the post I was trying to find, but my search did not find it.

No question, if/when I get one I will get insanme's. Too many good reviews here to ignore and I like how he does business.

I would love to see the scope test. If you happen to see it again keep me in mind.
