Exclamation VVT control solenoid or sprockets!???

i have had a few problems with my car after i put the new motor in an it said cam position sensors were bad so i replaced those and now it threw the code again, the codes it is throwing are P0011 and P0024. went to the dealership and they said both of my VVT control solenoids are bad but they are like $200 each! are there any motors that would have the same vvt solenoids as the vq35de if i were to go to a junk yard cause i have yet to find a single 350z or g35 at one.

thanks

To the best of my knowledge the vvt solenoids are unique to the VQ motor.

These solenoids give very little trouble in service & it is highly unlikely that they have both failed at the same time unless they have been damaged in the process of removal & installation of the motor.

Before buying new ones it would be better to remove the old ones & do a circuit & mechanical check of them. They are very easy to remove, just place a large rag around the base of them to soak up the oil that will come out.
Disconnect the electrical connector & remove the 4 10mm retaining bolts.

Thinking more about your problem, I think that it's not the vvt solenoids or cam position senders that are your problem but that your camshaft timing chain has been installed incorrectly, probably 1 tooth out & this is throwing your codes.

timing chain could be off and be sure that your engine oil is all the way up they act up when the oil is too low.
