a maxima is pretty much a FWD 4 door 350z

the question is are the murano,maxima,3.5 altima, quest motors all the same vs the 350z VQ series?

Considering they all make different power levels there must be some differences.

For one the intake mannifold is vastly different. Maybe the cams are also different, tune, etc. Try wikipedia.

Correct. THere are several 350Z engines and several Maxima engines. Since introduction of the 350Z, the Maxima shared the 3.5 liter VQ engine. It is the same series engine, but the 350Z gets some differences to boost horsepower.

Certainly you can find a more detailed explanation of each on the internet.
