My car is a dyno queen, but it isn't that fast. Some of that is the driver and some is poor part selections. I put WAY more stock into a cars mph in the 1/4 than a printed out number.

Thanks for proving me wrong guys, I appreciate it, I don't mind learning a thing or two, frankly I'm more astute when discussing the VHR than the HR or DE.

No, I'm asking if you own a Red 370Z. Are you 09HillZ34 on G35-NYC?

The Blue one, but from what I've learned here, the green "slimer" one was a DE as well, he had only 1 intake, but I didn't see him dyno.

I dynoed my 99 maxima with a vq35 swap, cams, arp, rev up oil pump...ect and dyno'd 208whp/196tq..and i believe it was a dyno jet too..they told me it was reading 10 less...so it should be 218whp/206tq...while I beat modded Rev up 350z's all day everyday...i was pissed at these numbers with the amount of money i dropped in...but i can rev it to 8100 rpm

b) If you were as much of a connoisseur of Z cars as you're saying you are, it would have been easy for you to tell if it was a DE or an HR just by the first glance you took at the car.

So really dude, get with it.

There was a red 370Z there with 85% of the body in carbon fiber.

Relax dude I'm just poking the hornets nest, in the process I learned a bit about the VQ35 history. I was there I arrived around 3:30 and left after the white supra dynoed, I needed to get a baseline run on my Z, the "3rd Z" that I forgot to mention. Just messing with you guys, figured I'd gauge this forum through a argumentative thread than an intro thread. You guys definitely hold it down for the 350z community. I haven't had the opportunity to run at the track, the T&R dyno run was my first dyno run yet. I have big plans for my project but I plan on building and keeping it N/A for atleast this summer to enjoy it fully before going F.I. That why when I jump the market would have shaken out the posers from the real deal companies making good power.

An adjusted 218 sounds really low, even a Mustang dyno shouldn't show that low with the parts listed. Granted your gonna lose a little (assuming your AUTO) more through the tranny, the number just seems too low. For a mod'ed VQ35 Max I would guesimate 250+ (average DynoJet) is needed to spank a Rev-up 350z (assuming your 100-200 lbs heavier). Check the health of the engine.

I have an 08 Z with HKS Tru-Dual and a Stillen Gen 3 intake. I haven't dyno'ed my Z yet, but if I made 239whp, I would be extremely disappointed.

However, I can't even begin to comprehend how that is possible. A stock DE should be putting out those numbers, not a HR with Bolt-Ons. Something is wrong.
if anything, I have the X02 True dual which is comparable to the HKS, and I too, have the Stillen Gen 3 Intakes. I put down 291.4 rwhp on a dynodynamics dyno, and 30 minutes prior to my dyno run, an 07 Bone stock Z ran 264 rwhp. So all in all, I believe I did make very strong gains. I will be dynoing it again shortly to see what the installation of my HFC's netted me. Then a tune eventually.

Seems like all the dynos in NY are retarded. The one I went to when I only had TP's,nismo intakes and a custom true dual made by me I put down 306 whp. I guess this dyno is the other end of the spectrum.

The only reason I want to go back to said high reading dyno is to see how much my tune gained. I would love to believe my car is that powerful but ehhhhhhh.

I'll do a dyno once I install my HFC's and headers. I still have to do a tune. Where did you do your tune jiggy?

you might not need a tune after exhaust work only, but you'd definitely want one after intakes to make sure you don't run lean.
