I am having problems with my car, i fixed the rest of the codes i had but the P0340 Cam Position sensor A bank 1 Malfunction is still on and the car wont even idle anymore.

I replaced the sensor with my friend's g35 passanger side sensor and now his car is throwing that code...

I turn the car on but it wont even idle its on for maybe 5 seconds at full throttle.

 

Buy a new one and replace it! the passenger side has a green harness.Bank 1 i believe....and the other is underneath the throttle body.(it is an angled sensor) that is a pain to reach. but an easy fix.

 

well its not the CAM sensor.. I unplugged the crank sensor and the car runs fine now. I will buy a new crank sensor tomorrow and replace that...
