removing throw out bearing

Default removing throw out bearing

Hey about to do this after work, how do I get the whole thing out to put into a vise? no gear pull and the write ups say not really needed

it just comes out - pull on it and it will come out...its just snug on a pivot ball thing.. you will see what I mean...

The release fork holds the release or "throw out" bearing with a couple springs that hold it to the pivot ball. Give it a quick tug and it will come off, just have to make sure you set the ends of the springs back into place before putting it back on.

If you plan on replacing the release bearing though, you'll need a press to press the old bearing off it's sleeve and press on your new one.
