I have the opportunity to purchase a rebuilt pumpkin with a 3.7 final drive installed. I have read some information that said that the '07 HR has the 3.7 final drive already, but I thought that the HR had the 3.5 final drive?

The main reason I would be getting it would be for the LSD because I have the base but was wanted to see what you guys thought about the 3.7 final drive. I would rather purchase this than buy a new LSD because it is much cheaper. I did a search but most of the information I found was about the 3.9.

Also, are the pumpkins from the older Z's the same as the HR's?

The HR does come with the 3.5 Final Drive. A 3.7 fd wont be all that noticeable compared to the 3.5. If anything, the 3.9 or the 4.08 is the best way to go, however the 3.9 is usually hard to find and just very expensive. To each his own!

 

Yeah I read that with each 5% difference in final drive ratio there is a 1% difference in acceleration so I figured that there would hardly be any difference as far as acceleration but I have never heard of the 3.7 final drive so I was confused. I'm a broke college student though so I can't afford a new 3.9 or 4.08 which I would love to have haha.

Also, do you know if the pumpkin from the older Z's are the same as the new ones? I don't want to purchase this thinking it will fit and then the pumpkins are diff
