Default Question about R-Tune Parts

If you buy a Z from a dealer with Nismo R-Tune Parts are they covered?? (I didn't) I was just wondering.

I am looking to get some mods and I really don't want to void my warranty.

I think I am going to go with the Nismo Exhaust, Suspension and some Volk GT-P's.

Any other suggestions that can improve performance (I don't race or drive like a maniac) with out voiding my warranty?

Nismo Exaust / Suspension is fine.

It all depends on the dealers decision...

Some dealers are mod friendly.. one of the sponsers on here.. performancenissanparts.com

as for other parts...

High Flow Cats, Headers, CAI will make a huge difference for you...

If you are very worried about things damaging parts. Pass on the CAI because there have been rare case's of damage to the MAF, but headers / high flow cat... nothing to really worry about...

It's my understanding S-tune parts have a warrenty - - R-tune parts do not, doesn't matter if the dealer installs or not ? ? ?

According to Nissan Motorsports, all S-Tune products are covered under warranty. The R-Tune parts are not covered by Nissan.

I thought that if you purchsed a new car with mods on it from the dealer that that dealer had to warranty it. The example being after market wheels, tires, and suspension on a 4x4 truck.

I think this would have to apply to the Z as well meaning if the dealer installed a Nismo cam on a NEW Z, then they would have to cover it. This is totally different that you buying a Z from them and then a week later asking them to install a Nismo cam. In the last situation, it becomes an aftermarket installation.

My bet is if I am correct, then the dealer simply would never sell you a new Z with a Nismo cam in it thus never putting themselves in a position of having to warranty it.

that is dealer specific...

you can take it to that dealer fine for a suspension problem...

take it to a different dealer... good luck...
