Yet another clutch issue 05 enth
I have a 2005 enthusiast with 38K mi. The previous owner had a Carbonetics triple plate clutch installed. When the car is warmed up - it is perfect. When it is colder, esp in the am, the clutch would not return fully.
So...I'm thinking what most of you guys are right? Bleed the line -
So I go to my roommates' shop (he's a mechanic) and we set out to bleed the line. We are all set, and push the pedal to the floor, open the bleed valve, close it, and the pedal doesn't return.
We troubleshoot for hours and hours until like 2 am and can't get it to bleed.
I read JasonZ's posts about bleeding the 05' and I have confirmed that I have a loop and an orifice inside my wheel well inbetween the slave and the master.
I had it towed to the stealership this am, and they have come back and said it is the master cylinder, and they can't get the master to build any pressure.
I'l like to believe them and get the car working, but I suspect, as others have found, that this may not be the issue and I just need to bleed it with a Motive Power Bleeder.
Any thoughts?

I have 05 Enthusiast as well. i had same problem. so i start to bleed the line. i was under the car and my brother was pressing the clutch. first he pressed and i opened the bleeder. he left his foot but the pedal wasn't coming back up. so i tried with hand. i pumped the clutch with my hand and pressure started to build up. my brother had to do same pumping process each time i open the bleeder.
i think our cars meant to be this way. since then i never had problem with my clutch.
OH.. and when you flush the line, give it couple of days to perform properly.
I hope this can help.
