Default 5/16 spacer install. idleding problem.

i jus installed a 5/16 spacer yesterday and now my car idles like crap. i reset the ecu and did the throttle body recal. i am postive nothing got caught when i was bolting it down. the car idles ok, then dips down almost stalls, then kicks up. and does that every few seconds. i dont have an inch lbs torque wrench, but the instuctions say its ok to use a driver with gloves. i tightened it in sequence 3 times. each time tighter. i dont know what could be wrong. could someone please chime in....

If you are sure that you completed the reset correctly.... you have a leak.

yea but i got the isothermal copper kit.u gotta take the TB off to put the copper coolant bypass there.

i think its fixed. went out and bought a craftsman inch lbs torque wrench first of all. i made a amateur mistake..... the TB gasket slid down off the two bolts and was crooked. bolted everything back up, torqued in sequence. now it idles smoothly. seems to idle lil low though. maybe its jus me i never paid attention to how it idled without the spacer. wat is the normal idle on a 350z MT?
also when i started it the tach worked for a few seconds. than stopped working not sure why it did that but i disconnected the battery drained the ecu and it worked when i started it after that.

after all this i hope someone learns from my dumb mistake lol
