Like the title said, is the Quaife LSD a 1.5? I have spun a few times because I let my foot off the gas through a turn and some one said a 1.5 will help. Im shure anything over my open diff will help. Thanks

 

I don't think the Quaife is directly comparable to standard clutch-type LSD's. It transfers torque to the wheel with the most resistance, (grip) and it does so in a progressive, transparent fashion.

I went from an open diff to the Quaife, and love it.

Yes, it is far better than an open diff.

*edit* forgot to address the lift-throttle oversteer....

It's normal for the rear to get light (in a turn) when you lift off of the throttle quickly or tap the brakes. However I didn't notice anything that felt out of the ordinary before or after the Quaife.

The primary problem I wanted the Quaife to address was traction out of corners. It works great for that, and since it's operation is so smooth, I have never felt it upset the car.

 

Quaife makes a fantastic unit. I don't know how much it can help when letting off the gas midturn (I was instructed never to do so unless I want to rotate). The track experts may be able to chime in on driving technique.
The Quaife lets you get on the gas farrr sooner through a corner. It just powers right out with very little drama.
