Alright, I bought the car knowing that it was soon going to crap out. The rings seem to be toast. I'm looking to buy a rebuilt motor or low mileage motor from a vendor (or someone that is reputable) to put back in my '06 Z. Not looking for any mods. I'm gonna put the new motor in and then sell it and get a G37 for my girl. I know some will say to just sell it as is, but I'm not about to sell a car to someone with those problems. Thanks in advance as I am not sure where to start looking.

 

Best place to start is the regional forum. Are you active in the regional 350Z community? Certainly your 350Z associates can point you the way.

 

The nearest shop that has a large z/g customer base would be Forged Performance. I might say it would be a safe bet to contact them to see if any of their customers have an oem block for sale if they're replacing theirs with upgraded motors.

im fixing to do an hr swap to an 06 and will have a rev up version 2 for sale with less than 10k miles on it. should be in the next couple of weeks. if you have no found anything by then please contact me as i can do the swap for you also.
