Loose Bolt on Rear Axle
I'll skip right to the point. Should there be some kind of spring nut keeping the axle nut from comming loose? The cotter pin is great for keeping the nut from falling off but the nut still comes loose. I've seen it on other car's axles but don't know what it's called.
See nut between item 9 & 8.

One would think that 152-202 foot-pounds of torque would keep the nut tight.
The Courtesy Parts diagram for the rear axle, hub, and rotor doesn't show any lock washer to go with the axle nut.

Negative, there is nothing to lock the nut into place. I just removed my rear axle this week and had to use a breaker bar to loosen the nut so I would make sure you are tightening it down enough. If you used WD40 to loosen the bolt then make sure to give it a soap bath and remove any lubricants.

I'll keep an eye on it and torque it occasionally when I have the wheels off. I'm going to see if I can find a castle nut that fits.

You'd think that but I've never had it worked on up until this last week. Maybe the Infiniti shop floor had low shop air for their impact wrenches that day. :-/
