Except those are not what the ones used in the Z look like. Those are ones you can put into the Z.

judging by that pic, why are the factory rods said to be the "weak link" - thats one of the stoutest factory rods I have seen in a long time (coming from tuning Subaru's and Mitsubishi's for 5 years!)

hey ravaz, thanks.

whenever u get more pics PLZ post them. that would be
awesome. sorry bout the engine. i know that must be painful
to look at but as they say, one man's trash is another man's
treasure. please take some pics of a side profile. that would be
extremely helpful. i am trying to model the stock rods but its
proving difficult with only the service manual's horrible drawings
to go buy.

@mike - thanks man but those look funky. are they supposed to
be stronger for the Z or what?

here is my progress so far. not much.

It looks like the caps are sealed on disabling an install onto the crankshaft, but if you look closely there are breaks. They must be tightened really tightly.

OMFG... I'd like to see more pictures as well including the engine block and cylinder walls.

What can you conclude about these parts?

The caps do fit perfectly on the Pauter's, I guess they laser cut the caps after forging the rod as one piece.

OK, here are the pictures as promised. I took a few, I was on the run today, and these are at my parents house so I can't take more until tomorrow, I'll take some without the pistons.
