its an air to water which has a condenser of some sort to cool the water and then it goes inbetween the supercharger and the intake manifold. right between the root blower and the block.

How much does this add to the kit's price I wonder... With the IC it's a viable option now, especially with a warranty on the motor (which I wonder if they actually honor)....

Warranty is void with 7 pound boost but not if you get 5 pound with intercooler. Intercooler will cost 1500 bucks

So the Stillen SC with intercooler is 5295? That is more than the ATI SC ($4865 from superchargers4less.com) plus it makes slightly less power. Not to mention the big black hoses they have added sticking up from the plenum. I think that I am going with ATI next summer...

hahahahaha! 1500 bucks for an intercooler, ok this is definitely not a viable option. Stillen still sucks!

I think people will be suprise when sport z compares the sc's and the TT. I believe that stillens sc will do quite well overall. Maybe not as quick as the TT but quicker then the ati and vortech in the 1/4. buy what you like, thats my .02

Hmmm, that's different (the design/setup). I've never seen something like that, especailly not on an import. Anyone have pics on how the Stillen intercooler works or is designed. I see the hoses connected to the plenum, but I'm wondering what it looks like inside. I'm not to crazy about have waterlines like that so close to the intake of the engine. It's seems to work, but I would prefer a FMIC. $1500 seems pretty pricey too, especially when you can't even see what you paid $1500 for.

Personally, I am not paying for an IC for its looks, it is about doing what is needed to make the SC work properly. When I selected my wheels, I was concerned with looks. With the FI, it is about about reliability, performance, service, and cost.

the stillen intercooler has a separate radiator that sits in a front mount location.

Yes the new radiator sits in front of the stock radiator. The radiator fluid is on the left hand side of the car. Yeah I dont really care what it looks like. All I know is that the car throws me into my seat with so much torque right off the start. It's a completely different car. I also trust Stillen's knowledge of this car. They have beend very diligent in accomodating my demands. Steve Millen has treated me with respect and given attention to my car (even before the Sport Z test). Buy whatever you like, ATI, Vortech, TT, but I just want everyone to know that the Stillen product is a thousand times better than the first version I purchased and it's too much fun.

A lot of people tend to take shots at Stillen. I have not had personal experience with them nor have those people explained why they feel like they do toward that company. If their is valid reasons to be wary of them, please explain.

One thing I can say is the Stillen SC has not caused motor damage up to this point (to my knowledge) thus it is seeming to be reliable. Of course, I dont know many people on this forum that have one installed so the numbers dont give us an accurate picture of reliability.

The SportZ test in December should help us determine the performance level of this kit compared to the other SC'ers.

SKK100, you claim Stillen is providing good service. To sum it up, good service, possibly good reliability, performance to be proven. Now if i can get pass that hood personally....

Stillen is over priced for below average parts.

I Don't think any other FI kit has caused motor damage. Bad tuning causes engine damage, not a blower...

I agree completely. the reason ati seems to blow up motors verses others is that it alows tuners to tune there own car. No other kit at this time offers this. If you mess with it and you don't know how (i.e shops included) it will blow!!!!! don't blame the maker. ati 7psi kit with stock injectors, vortech 8psi kit with stock injectors. the ati blows up because of bad tunning just to get that extra 1hp. wait till the TT kits come out. talk about turning up boost and blowing motors. too easy to do

HE knows this. The point is that Stillen requires no tuning and there is no possibility of screwing your AF mixture thus blowing your engine.
If I had to choose now I would choose Stillen. If you ask me I think ATIs whole fuel system is Archaic and not user friendly. This is probably why people are blowing engines!
