Unhappy 2006 transmission in a 2003?

Ok I promised I searched but since i am reduced to only my iPod to browse the web I could easily have missed it. My synchros are shhhhhh ting the bed and instead of new synchros or a new 2003 tranny I figure I'd fix it once and for all by puttin a newer tranny with the 009 upgrade. I have always assumed the blocks on all VQs to be basically the same as well as the driveline. So will the 2006 trans bolt up to my 03 vq35de non revup? A link is a fine answer. Thanks in advance

Yeah. Would be your best bet at getting an 009. Shifts like a dream.

Yeah? The only z I've ever driven is my 2003. I've always hated the notchy shifting but never new that later models difffered. These are nice stout transmissions but the early years went to pot as we all know. Do you know if it'll bolt up to my car? New bell housing?
