Default 03-05 vs 07-08 manual transmissions

I'm wondering if their are any major differences.

is the 07-08 a stronger transmissions?

can I use a 03-05 transmission on an 07-08 engine, or are the bell housings different?

I have an 07-08 engine and need a transmission, unfortunately I'm having a hard time finding a 07-08 transmission locally. I see 03-05's all day though ( cheaper too )

Thank you

Tranny is not interchangeable as a simple swap.
The bell-housing shape is different.
Starter position is different
CAP sensor position is relocated.
Slave is different but should be no problem.

If you were closer, I have a 07 tranny waiting for a home.
I like the shift better with the new tranny.
I may consider replacing the motor in my 03 with a 08 HR ..

Not sure if there's any major differences between the two except maybe the clutch. Besides the revision and upgraded design of the HR motor the tranny should be relatively the same as the ones mated to the DE.

I guess the bell housings are different and the slave cylinder is in the 07-08 transmission?
