Default ATS Clutches

Just wondering which clutch is worth it for a 510 whp weekend driver and auto-x and time attack, did a search but I keep pulling up vendor classifieds and not really any mention of personal opinions of those who have these clutches. So which is suitable without going overboard and comfortable to live with?

ATS spec II twin carbon (1,400 clamping rate) w/ 4.9kg flywheel

or

ATS Triple metal clutch w/ flywheel (Z1auto's site lists this as 1350KG clamping rate)

The twin carbon is fantastic, extremely light, revs like crazy. You'll stall it a few times getting used to it, but once you are comfortable with it you'll never want anything else. It's what I used on my NA VQ, my buddy had it on his built APS Twin TT, and I use it on my VK56 Z.

I've seen these hold 600+whp on boosted Z33's. They bite really hard, but you'll get used to it. A nice alternative to the more expensive OS giken.

I was under the belief that the twin carbon would have a lighter pedal effort to it? What would cause the stalls then?

It just bites real hard. I think he meant you would stall it out a few times before you got the feel of it.
