Default did i buy a 350z with a upgraded clutch??

wasup fellas, so i just got my 350z bout a week ago. used 04 with 55,000 miles. i learned how to drive stick before on another car, but the clutch pedal seems hard to push down ... not like where i have to slam it down but just lil harder than wut i learned on. i had a friend test drive my car nd he said hes driven another z and it wuznt as hard. basically i just wana see if stock clutch on z's are pretty stiff ...

Welcome and congratulations.

You will have to separate the clutch from the flywheel and look at it. Anything short of this is just guessing.

IMO 350z has light clutch pedal feel. The difference between subaru and 350z was day and night. After i changed to SS clutch line, the pedal did feel firmer.

The 03 and 04's had a slightly different design of clutch and it was a bit firmer then the newer Zs. As far as an aftermarket clutch, a quick way to tell is to remove the slave cyl. and pull the rubber boot from the bell housing that surrounds the clutch fork to see inside. Most aftermarket clutches are painted, good indicator

Agree with dave. I have a 2003 and my brother has 2004.5... My clutch is much stiffer.

My 2003 is stiff as hell. The clutch in my pickup feels like a complete joke after driving the Z.
