Default wheel bearing issue?

For a couple of days, i hear some kind of big metal shaving sound under acceleration. Sometimes i feel pulsation on the gas pedal when i accelerate from 0 mph. It feels more like something got stuck on rotating part. Could this be bad REAR wheel bearings? Do you feel the pulsation if the wheel bearings are bad?
Last time, i took my car to Big o tire for alignment, one of the tech drove my car to confirm that my car pulls to the right. When he got back, he told be front right wheel bearing might be bad. So i checked both fronts at home by raising it and wiggling the wheels. They were fine. So it could be the rears.

my front left had no play but used to sound like darth vader on the freeway. Swapped it out and the noise went away. Wasn't loud, no vibration just a hum in the shape of a sine wave

How do you figure out if the bearings are bad without checking the free play?

That's exactly what mine sounds like!!! did you hear the hum in the shape of a sine wave idling or driving? I hear mine even during idling, and sounds kinda like darth vader lol on the freeway too. Did you just replace one bearing or all 4?

Sorry, not to hi-jack thread on purpose :P

mine only makes sound on accel.
is there a way to find out if the bearings are bad other than wiggling the wheels?

i did some donuts few weeks ago and i did two S drifting at once after making a u-turn...totally not expecting S drift haha. i was just going to go sideway for a sec and gain traction. This might have caused it?

Take the car to a mechanic to get your problem fixed.

while we are on the subject, i have replaced one of my rears (huge PITA) and recently i have been getting noise from my drivers side front. Its not the typical grinding, its my brakes squeaking slightly when i turn left. nothing right, nothing straight. no free play and that would be the only thing i think would cause it. I have jacked the car up and turned the wheel to see if i can replicate it and I cannot. Must be when the wheel is under load....

what does anyone think?

i never take my car to a mechanic unless its something that i cannot fix or even try. What i like about my car is that i can take out my tools out and work on it, it's fun.

Probably you pad is bad or the caliper piston is stuck?

How much did you spend for the wheel bearing or wheel bearing and hub(?)

pad is brand new and the piston isnt stuck. i pushed it back in because of the noise and it came right back.

I actually get an employee discount at one of the local dealerships so I got the hub + bearing together for maybe ~$120 and got one of the techs to press it for me before i left.

I would def recommend replacing both while your at it. you never know, the hub could go bad any time esp if you have a good bit of miles on your car. even if you only do the bearing, chances are you wont be pressing it in yourself and you'll have to take it somewhere and your z will be down longer.

i can't spend $120 (without discount llol) for something i don't know for sure. I might just let them tear apart then change them
i see my thread getting highjacked.

guys, i pulled out the wheel hub from the car that was making the noise.
Around the Wheel bearing area, i see marks of burnt color. I do not think this is normal, what do you think?
Do i need to suspect that the other side could be like this as well? The car has about 40000 miles.
