My 04.5 has a year old engine installed, long block. Only aftermarket engine parts are a V+ Kinetix and a JWT SRI.

Lately, the idle has been off. It would idle smooth, then seems like when the fans kick in, it'll drop a few hundred rpms and be rough then smooth out.

Now, when you're driving for a while, and come to a stop, depress clutch - it stalls. Starts up fine, however.

Took it to Nissan, and they say it's a vaccum leak. A check engine light went on two days later diagnosis, but now it's gone.

They say the kinetix gasket is leaking and to replace with their own factory gasket, but I know it's too thin. I don't want to send it to Cali where 4 days without car wouldn't work for me.

Do you think it's an vaccuum leak? Also, seems electric fans are on ALL the time, on HIGH. even when it's 60 degrees out, and a/c is off.
