Default 2003 350z transmission?

Bought an 2003 350z driving it for a weak and now its shifting weird....I'm going to try my best to explain it....before it would go straight from 1st to 2nd gear same from 3rd straight into fourth. But know when you go from 1st to 2nd it stutters or pauses. It will go 1st stop have way then into 2nd almost like you have to pull down twice in order to shift it same problem with 3 to 4 and 5 to 6...there is no grinding but I drove the car for a weak and was shifting smoothly straight from 1st to 2nd gear... dealer ship says nothing wrong with it but they just dont want to pay to get it fixed any idea what wrong.

How many miles? I don't think a single 2003 350Z has the factory transmission in them. Damn near everyone went bad before 20K miles.

Find out what transmission you have. There should be some #s on the transmission use the search button to find threads on what to look for. If the transmission hasnt been changed I'd raise hell to the dealership to get a new one.

If it has been changed make sure it was changed I'd try doing a transmission flush to see if that helps things any. Guessing you bought it used from a dealership, so 30 day warranty?

Did you adjust your seat position. A few times I thought my car was broken, but I really just needed to adjust my seat, which adjusted my shift points, which drastically changed how smoothly I was shifting.

Maybe you just need to sit down with you car and have one of those "it's me, not you" conversations with her.

I'd follow Jeffie's advice, too.

I also have this problem. I have an 03 Touring with 19K miles. The shifts aren't super smooth, you have to give it a nice tug sometimes. The original owner did swap out the trans and clutch a while back(while it was under warranty), so it's not the original stuff. I'm not sure if this is normal, as it has always been like that for me. Also there is some clicking noises I can hear every now and then. It seems to happen more when I'm pushing in or letting out the clutch and sometimes when I am going around corners. I can only hear it when the windows are down, and it's always just a single click, not continuous. Any ideas on what that could be? I'm pretty sure it has to do with the clutch, trans, or diff.
