Default Quick pumpkin swap question - orientation of cupped spacer / washer...?

Guys,

I'm in the middle of doing a pumpkin swap and have come across something I can't find in any of the DIY threads or in the FSM.

I'm putting a VLSD into my 06 Base - I've removed the original pumpkin so far. When lowering it from underneath the car, two black cupped spacers or washers fell out, presumably from where the pumpkin bolts the underside of the car. They don't appear to be mentioned in any threads I can find or appear in any diagrams but I need to know their orientation when installing the VLSD pumpkin - will they be installed so that the cupping appears 'n' in cross-section (open end of n towards the ground) or other way round so that they appear 'u' (open end of 'u' facing underside of the car)?

I'm assuming it must be 'n' but I'd like to know before I put everything back together.

I left my camera in work so can't upload a photo to show what I'm talking about...Sorry for the poor explanation...

Thanks in advance,

Davy.

hope that helps.
