Default clutch issue?

ok, so ive noticed something a while back and over the last 2-3k miles its becoming gradually more noticeable.

whenever i am in a low rpm in any forward gear (under 2k rpms) and i toe into the throttle, i hear a rubbing/groaning sound. i am thinking its gotta be something with the clutch b/c nothing is loose or rattling. also, when i make high rpm shifts, i notice the clutch hangs up but will fully "catch" when you completely let off the throttle. it only does this on occasion (not very often especially since the clutch fluid was replaced) and only when i shift fast, so it never does this under normal driving conditions.

i am taking it to the dealership either tomorrow or next saturday for them to take a look at it. does anyone think it may be the clutch or something else? everything under the hood, under the car and in the car all seem tight and rattle-free.

Could be the clutch is starting to slip because the disc is worn. Unfortunately, it probably won't be covered by warranty, since it's either normal wear or driver error. That could get really expensive if the flywheel and pressure plate have been damaged.

How many miles do you have on the car? How much experience with manual transmissions did you have before you got the Z? Do you drive aggressively?

thats the thing, the clutch doesnt really "slip" unless i pretty much powershift it, which i would expect. it doesnt slip at all when i do a 5th gear load test on it. i will credit it to driver error, i know how to drive a manual, but unfortunately the lady before me didnt. however, i am not the nicest to the clutch, especially when i feel like doing some spirited driving. the z store sells jwt clutches and lightweight flywheels for right under 400 each, which i planned on replacing anyway

my car has right under 20k miles on it...19,9xx

why would you stay away from jwt? and does that pertain to flywheels and clutches?

also, how much more would you charge to install a lightweight flywheel along with a clutch?

read up in the hr thread. jwt uses the old de style pressure plate that will cause uneven wear on the bearing and cause premature failure. customzparts had developed a new bearing but the test are not complete. one other company has one out that uses a metal sleeve instead of a rubber. so you have options but please read up. yes ill do the flywheel and clutch change for 250.
