Urgent AC belt

Default Urgent AC belt

My ac belt snapped and I can't get a belt until tomorrow. Is it safe to drive?

I have driven all winter without one because you don't need the AC when it is already cold. You will want to replace the serpentine belt while you are at it because it is going to need to come off anyways to put the AC belt back on. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks people. I drove it home. The main belt is in great shape so I don't know what the deal was. Since it is the winter I probably won't worry about it right now if its not affecting anything. Car seems to feel lighter without it. Probably placebo effect.

Your defrost won't work right though since it uses the a/c to pull moisture out of the air.
