Megan Headers question??
Hey guys, i have a set of Megan headers but main questions are:
Does or Has anyone ever installed the Megan Headers into 350z/g35 2 or 4 doors?
If so, are the a simple straight bolt on or did you have to make modifications to it??
I had a customer come in here that bought a steering column pivot arm link, who he claimed that he had a problem installing the Megan headers in his 06 Z. He said when he Turned left to right the Pivot arm hit the header on the driver side.
Anyone know if this is true or not from previous experience..??

i can't comment specifically on the megans, but in 06 the steering rack design was changed and it is very common place to have header fitment issues because of that. like your cust stated, it is the slip joint that connects the shaft to the rack that rubs on the header.
you can try to move the slip joint up or down and that may gain you the clearance needed. if that does not work try grinding on the joint or changing the orientation of it.
my stillens rubbed badly under hard turns while accelerating--mainly at the track. it would rub so badly the steering wheel would lock until i let off the throttle.

I didn't, the engine was replaced by Nissan and when they installed it they installed teh oem exhaust manifolds with the gun so the bolts were freaking tight.

Middle of the runs while he was tuning the cams.
I thought I had a second battery, the one I had died after that.
271/264 was the max. Stroker is in the works.
