Here are the instructions on how to repair your oem valve covers

http://yhst-13387653796039.stores.ya...nivqvacor.html

the gaskets are only like 60 dollars from r&d, a much cheaper option than using l-fab. They quoted me a ridiculous price

Nvmnd I searched more and found out they're on our forums so I guess you order through PayPal? Anyone confirm those seals from a maxima fit our valve covers?

any updates on this?

I would be really interested in getting one of those damaged seals shipped to me. I am wondering if I can talk my friend who works for a large part supplier into rummaging through some seals in their warehouse and finding the right one.

I keep getting questions about this so I'll update. I found some other seals that fit in the flange made by Ishino. They will slip over the spark plug tubes of a VQ since it's very close to the same inside diameter, but I do not know if they would eventually tear because they are stretched out too far but I think it should be fine. I do not have a dial caliper to measure ID. It's a spring loaded seal around the tubes like stock ones so it might not tear.

Anyone know if this kit works?
Found cyl #6 has this issue now. Makes me want to choke an engineer...

Also why the hell do we drill though the baffle plate?? doesn't make sense. Unless the grommets they give you arent 350z grommets but some other ones that "fit with mods". That's fine but they should say that....

I wonder if this product works without having to drill...

You drill out the plate because you won't be able to remove the seals otherwise. They placed in the valvecover then the baffle plate is glued to the valve cover

Damn I just connected the damn dots. Would it have killed nissan to just have produced these with wider diameters in the baffles for grommet removal...

I will order a grommet from a maxima and see if it fits. ( I hope the thread posts are correct)
