Default Engine Swap?

I have an 04 350z Enthusiast, it runs cool and all of that, but it has over 100,000 miles on it. I was thinking maybe an engine swap? Any suggestions on what I should do?

well there only 2 options i can think off the top of my head. 1. ls(#) 2. RB swap. Either one is going to easily coast you over 10k each.

Y rebuild it? If u took car of the car it will last u another 50k easily.

These engines are very well designed my maxima had 212,000 miles and only had to rebuild the tranny. GL with ur decision

+1 why rebuild if it's not giving you problems? Maybe build and FI if money permits.

Buy a new car?

-or-

Buy a rebuilt engine and throw it in... $4k for engine... add labor or do it yourself.

OPs question is pointless. There is no replacement interval for an engine. You run it until it has problems that demand a replacement. On the VQ, it's nowhere near 100K miles.

I kid, I kid. Enjoy many more miles, drive it to the wheels fall off... If it runs fine, why replace it?

Find a motor from a wrecked 2004 with less miles and put in your car.

Why were you thinking an engine swap? What goes wrong at 100k miles?

You're right - that is a funny suggestion. Why swap one 300HP engine for another 300HP engine that's at least 15 years old?

They will laugh at the fact that he replaced a reliable engine with that ford garbage.
